About Us

Starbase Studios came into existence when a fledgling fan filmmaker, John Hughes tracked down a possible lead on a few Star Trek bridge set pieces located in Austin, Texas that he may use to produce his own fan film episode. After securing and bringing them to Oklahoma City, he met Scott Johnson and others who soon formed Starbase Studios. More about the beginning of Starbase Studios here. https://trekfanproductions.com/2016/10/19/sbsinterview1/

For the next 5 years, Starbase Studios in Oklahoma City was the location for many Star Trek fan films, open houses and was active in promoting education in science and some of their sets were featured at various conventions.

Starbase Studios has recently gone through some major changes. With the ownership of the building housing Starbase Studios in Oklahoma City changing, measures to move brought in a core group of previous supporters and filmmakers to sustain and continue the vision of Starbase Studios moving it to Harrison, Arkansas; a much bigger facility.

Today, Starbase Studios maintains a long list of writers, directors, DP's, makeup artists, gaffers, lighting experts, wardrobe makers, prop makers, editors, special effects artists, actors, and a host of professionals from all around the world that are accessible for your next film project.

The Crew

Dan Reynolds. Is an entrepreneur and business owner. He got his start producing how to videos by researching problems and then producing videos with the solutions. His interests turned then turned to television where he started a television station where he and his 2 sons produce local shows and maintain 8 local digital channels in North Arkansas.

Answering the call for professional production crew members, Dan was the sound engineer for Star Trek New Voyages, "Mind-Sifter". The following year he shot Behind-The-Scenes for STNV, "Torment of Destiny" and came back the following year as Director of Photography for pick up shots for "TOD".

Meeting Glen Wolfe during those shoots for Star Trek New Voyages, Dan was asked to take on the task of the entire post production phase of Glen's first solo project, Star Trek,"His Name is Mudd" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-eZ1b3cEow).

A collaboration was formed between Glen and Dan for several future projects including Dan's first Star Trek written episode, "Doppleganger".

Dan will be the go-to person for the Starbase Studios facility maintaining the everyday functions and activity.
